Writing Prompts

writing prompt

Today I’m going to do something to help myself as well as you. Even though you didn’t ask for it or didn’t even know you needed a nudge!

Here is a writing prompt.

Untitled design

The House:

The house is quiet, almost loud with it. I sit in the middle of the living room on the floor with my legs crossed and my eyes closed listening to my breathing. On the back of my neck I feel a cool wind and I know. He is here with me.

I challenge all of you to  write a paragraph in the comments so I can see what you come up with !

Now write!!!

  1. I know if I close my eyes, he will go away and I’ll have to wait another year for him to come back again. The first time my father visited me on the anniversary of his death, I had just started meditating. I almost took his presence as some new depth I was plumbing in my mind but when I thought about the last time we hugged, I cringed all over again because my necklace had pressed into his chest to hard and hurt. That time, he whispered in my ear and said “Peanut, it’s okay – love hurts sometimes,” and chuckled softly, like he had when he was waiting for me to understand a joke.
[Thanks for this prompt! It’s been a while since I’ve written anything creative!]
